After racing against each other for years, a group of friends decided it would be more fun to race together. We launched Plains to Peaks Racing (P2P) in 2011 as an elite cyclocross team of four, endeavoring to race hard, have fun and give back to the sport and community we love.

Over the following season (2012-13), we expanded our team with new athletes and focusing on dirt-oriented elite races: cyclocross, mountain biking and gravel/dirt road races. As an elite team, P2P strives to balance the demands of competitive cycling with "real life" by supporting top athletes who are also career-oriented professionals. Often described as a "working man’s pro" (or woman), we believe this type of rider offers sponsors an opportunity to connect with a team of dedicated athletes who can inspire their customers to live healthy and balanced lifestyles.

We are committed to a growth plan that builds on the team’s local presence to provide race and sponsor exposure at an increasing regional and national level over the next three years. This growth plan is in line with the goals of our athletes and we aligns well with our sponsors, as many are expanding their own presence from Colorado to a regional and national level. Our goals are to build a team and a select group of highly engaged sponsors that are committed to:

  • supporting bike racing and competing at the elite-level across Colorado, the Rocky Mountain West and at select national level races;
  • developing promising elite-level and U23 athletes;
  • investing time and resources in our local, regional and national cycling community and related events and causes; and
  • raising sponsors brand awareness, profile and loyalty through multiple customer touch points with the team and community.

For the 2017-18 season, we continue to identify talented athletes that balance the demands of work and racing at the highest level to represent our fantastic group of partners and sponsors.
